Golfers can enjoy the Championship Golf Links just 5 minutes
drive from the village. Fishermen will appreciate the peaceful
atmosphere of the numerous bog lakes
( License required ) and other local rivers such as theOwenglen,
or for fine salmon fishing, the Ballynahinch Fishery (Permit
required) – providing wonderful salmon and trout fishing, and
shore fishing along the beaches, or even deep-sea angling (which
can be arranged through local skippers).
The wide variety of watersports includes sailing, wind-surfing,
canoeing and waterskiing. If you are particularly keen, scuba
diving can be arranged with our local Dive School, Scubadive
West.
For guests interested in horse-riding or pony trekking there arefirst-class horses and ponies available at local stables, or perhaps you
would prefer walking in the twelve bens, or something less energetic,
such as bird watching.
